I downloaded the Sleep Reset app after realizing that the quality of my sleep was terrible. I would come home and fall asleep after work as early at 8pm, but then I’d wake up at 3am with anxiety and racing thoughts. No matter how many hours I was in bed each night, I consistently had low energy during the day and brain fog.
The Sleep Reset program starts by having you track your sleep for a few days. You answer preset questions such as what time you went to bed, what time you woke up, and how many times you woke up in the middle of the night. You also select if there were factors during the day or before your bedtime that may have impacted your sleep, such as drinking caffeine after 12pm, drinking alcohol, and screen time within 1 hour before bed. After a few days of tracking, you then select what time you need to wake up each day, and your Sleep Coach assigns you a bedtime to begin following. My coach had me going to sleep at 11pm to wake up by 5:20am.
I was super skeptical of my assigned bedtime. With how tired I had been falling asleep by 8pm, I didn’t think there was any way that I could stay awake until 11pm each night. I was also worried that with only getting just over 6 hours of sleep each night that I wouldn’t be getting enough total hours of sleep and I’d still feel terrible. My coach reassured me that it may take a week or two for my body to get used to the sleep regimen, but the idea was that I’d be sleeping more efficiently and truly only getting into bed when I was ready to fall asleep.
The program also comes with daily lessons around sleep hygiene, bedtime routines, and literally any possible question you could think of as it relates to your sleep. These lesson were critical for me in my sleep journey. I realized my sleep hygiene was a major source of my problems. I had been laying in bed and falling asleep after scrolling through TikTok. I wasn’t allowing my brain to wind down and relax by doing that, and it was adding to my anxiety and poor sleep quality throughout the night. By following the advice provided in the lessons about how to operate differently during the day and sticking to a bedtime routine which improved my sleep hygiene, I immediately noticed an improvement in my sleep quality. I wasn’t waking up at 3am anymore with racing thoughts. I was sleeping through the night without issue. I had more energy during the day. My brain fog cleared up and I could actually think straight again.
The Sleep Reset app has fixed my sleep issues. I still have nights where my sleep isn’t 100% perfect, but I have so much more awareness around what could be causing my sleep to not be as effective. Did I eat dinner late last night within 3 hours before bedtime? Did I have a few alcoholic drinks with my friends? I’m finally dialed in about my sleep, my body, and the changes I can make to ensure better sleep quality for myself.
The only downside to the Sleep Reset app is that it is expensive at just under $300 every couple of months. Trust me, if you invest the $300 one time, take the daily lessons and follow your assigned sleep regimen, within 2 months time you will have the information and tools you need to be successful in your sleep journey on your own.
I cannot thank Sleep Reset enough for all the knowledge I gained throughout my time on the program and the support of my Sleep Coach. Truly a great product and worth every penny.
